The senior technology project manager provides an outstanding service with his/her expertise that is customer focused and drives improved organizational performance. The senior technology project manager applies to the team but also to other operational experts and officers within the organization. For example: by being a mentor, onboard and the ability to train new colleagues, lead meetings and design business processes.

in summary, the purpose of the role is to provide technology leadership as part of the technology leadership chapter within the squad based structure of the technology enterprise department. In particular leading a squad with its associated customer portfolio and leading or providing assurance for the technology related workstreams for projects.

the senior technology project manager can potentially be a part of the technology enterprise senior leadership team (tech SLT).

  • directing external suppliers, assessing their professional services and giving internal advice about the selection of suppliers.

leadership and direction: delivers outcomes by managing others in the squad and working within established systems.

  • by coordinating tasks at squad level.
  • providing short, medium and long-term strategies that are aligned with business goals.
  • coaching and mentoring squad members and colleagues.
  • establishing metrics, goals and the expected performance levels of all squad members and providing feedback and coaching where appropriate.
  • should assess/survey quality of work delivered by squad.
  • coordinate or provide training when necessary for the purpose of improving skills or teaching new ones.
  • act as a role model for squad members.

recommendations: provides advice on designing new processes and systems to achieve professional standards and desired outcomes.

  • by advising internal and external clients as it relates to the senior technology project manager’s area of expertise.
  • providing consultancy services to external clients.
  • signalling and advising the leadership and management team.
  • handling complex specialist questions related to the senior technology project manager’s area of expertise and giving advice.
  • joining client-facing meetings and giving presentations.

needs assessment: uncovers emerging issues and/or needs and identifies potential causes, related issues, key stakeholders and barriers.

  • translates the demands of customers (internal and external) into proposals for new products and services.

project management: manages and delivers required outcomes for a portfolio of projects while reporting to senior colleagues.

  • by the implementation of products and services in the business.
  • making proposals for and making improvements in the workforce processes and the expertise of the organization.
  • is a point of contact for the organization regarding expertise.
  • delivers innovative solutions for the organization.
  • supports Sales and Solution Design in case of new RPO/MSP/SOW bids.

 

What you need to bring:

  • university/Post Graduate or equivalent professional & intellectual ability.
  • 5 years experience in an MSP or RPO business.
  • 3 years experience with key technology providers.
  • Substantial general work experience together with comprehensive job- related experience in their own area of expertise to a fully competent level.
  • Hands-on experience within the expertise at RSR EMEA or within the expertise at Randstad.
  • Leading and supporting client meetings.
  • Holding public and commercial presentations, webinars.
  • Running end-to-end projects by managing various stakeholders and project team contributors (c-suite level).
  • Building reports and negotiating with external providers.
  • Experience of supervising and directing people and other resources to achieve specific end results within limited timeframes.
  • Proficiency in Excel/Sheets, Smartsheets, Google and Microsoft Office products
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Strong project and people management

The base salary range for this position is $110,000-130,000.

Pay offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors including the candidate’s education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc. Based on eligibility, a successful candidate’s total compensation may include a variable pay plan including bonus(es) and/or commission(s). In setting compensation, Randstad complies with all local wage and hour laws and while the pay range listed above is an annual amount, non-exempt employees will be paid hourly and therefore receive the hourly equivalent.
