We are seeking an experienced Taxonomy Analyst for the development and maintenance of the Global Taxonomy data products and services.

This is a taxonomy focused data analyst role with knowledge of labour market concepts, and fluency in 2 major languages (i.e. English and Spanish).

The global taxonomy product family is a growing set of labour market related concepts that have a crucial role as a ‘lingua franca’ for the Randstad family, most importantly for the X-One programs. It includes a wealth of information on jobs and occupations, skills, certificates, locations and education.

We have taxonomies in place for various languages and locales, e.g. en-US, en-UK, nl-NL, nl-BE, fr-BE, it-IT, de-CH and sv-SE.
Future additions will be pt-PT, pt-BR, es-ES, es-MX, pl-PL, de-DE, fr-CA, and possibly more.

Our taxonomies are created by a mix of human expertise and high-end AI technology.
The human expertise is anchored in the global program team, where this analyst profile has an essential role in supporting the Lead Knowledge Engineer / Implementation Manager in the curation of high-quality data assets from the Randstad countries. Technically, the taxonomy products use machine learning-based large language models to provide semantic-based capabilities such as career guidance, labour market analytics, and job and candidate search and match.

Essential functions:

The ideal candidate will successfully enhance, test, and maintain occupation and skills taxonomies and ontologies, and assist with other areas of the development process, specifically:

  • identify and assess existing occupational, skills/certificates and education taxonomies and services to be incorporated and augmented
  • assess data sources content qualitatively
  • annotate corpora to provide qualitative data to Data Scientists to train ML models
  • proactively identify and develop concepts and terms for new industries or functional areas based on:

  • refine and improve existing definitions in our taxonomies
  • work closely with end-users and the global team to troubleshoot, verify, document, and fix reported matching problems and requests
  • assess APIs output (job title ⇒ occupation; similar occupations; occupation ⇔ skills; skills ⇔ skills; certificates)
  • find the optimal taxonomy values based on keyword research in Google Ads per website language to enrich the taxonomy data with SEO-friendly values
  • work with our engineering team to assist with the development and implementation of job-related products and services
