We support 16 products, 7 lines of business all from one single integrated platform while engaging with internal stakeholders across 23 different operating companies across the globe. The user experience design team is responsible for understanding the end user’s needs, wants, motivations and persona while using the product and developing user flows and visual designs for product features (both web app and mobile app) that provide a great overall experience for the user. execution of product initiatives and the product lifecycle from ideation to launch. The team will work closely with the product managers and the engineering teams while collaborating with other internal stakeholders as well as needed.

purpose of the job

The Sr. Product Designer will support Randstad Enterprise’s global initiatives and help support innovation and growth across all of our lines of business. The role is a product design generalist working on projects across platforms, including native mobile. The team is highly collaborative with product management and engineering. Combined team conversations about features and product decisions help us collaborate to come to the highest quality outcomes given the normal time and budget constraints. In addition to collaborating on the roadmap, there are also opportunities to drive the product direction through design work by doing things like setting aside time for exploratory user research and creating exploratory redesigns of key features – in collaboration with but independently from product managers.

Product Designers are collaborators who work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure our products are valuable, efficient, and beautiful. The level of this role is open and can be tailored to the candidate. This position is fully remote, reporting to the Senior Director of Product.

responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers to understand user and business requirements in collaboration with users and engineers to lead design projects from ideation to delivery.

• Communicate designs through detailed wireframes, user flows, and prototypes.
• Develop and deliver beautiful, hi-fidelity visual design mockups and specs.
• Work cross-functionally with designers, engineers, product managers, and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with global teams, translation teams, and developers to assist in localizing and customizing our products around the world.

• Ability to create positive user journeys and flows demonstrating experience with empathetic user design

• Ability to flex hours two days per week to ensure global time zone coverage for the team.

education, experience & knowledge

• 5 years of experience working in-house as a permanent member of a product design team with multiple designers.
• Have a strong portfolio of work samples showcasing interaction/UX design work & process.
• Experience with end-to-end product design, from ideation to collaboration with engineering for final handoff.
• Experience designing across platforms (Web, Android, iOS, email).
• Expert experience using Figma including features such as components and auto-layout.
• Familiarity and experience with web accessibility standards
• Experience working with design systems both as a contributor and as a user to create new features.
• Any previous experience in software development is a plus – especially mobile development. Coding is not part of this role, but experience is helpful in collaborating with engineers.
• Experience conducting detailed user research at each stage of the product life cycle, and using data to inform design decisions.
