                    Global Bid Lead- Americas

Global Sales Enablement Center of Excellence (CoE)

The Global Sales Enablement Center of Excellence (CoE) is a newly formed function that provides best practices, sales materials, market knowledge, solution design services, bid management services and pricing so we can enable sales teams to sell the full portfolio of services across Randstad’s specializations. 

There are three specializations within the Global CoE to support various business segments:  Enterprise, Operations/Professional and Mid-Market. 

You will be a key member of our Enterprise bid management team. While remaining fully dedicated to the success of Randstad Enterprise Solutions, the team now reports to the CoE leadership. This move is designed to harness our team's expertise to influence global standards and, in turn, provide you with best-in-class tools and support.

purpose of the job

As the Global Bid Lead for Enterprise sales opportunities in the Americas, you will specialize in the art and science of solving complex client talent challenges through the creation of compelling proposal responses within the Americas region. You will be responsible for driving specific bids within the region, applying global standards with local adaptation, and actively challenging regional sales/solution/pricing teams to ensure optimal outcomes. You will lead and manage a team of Regional Bid Managers/Proposal Specialists, fostering a culture of excellence, strategic insight and adherence to established best practice.

You will leverage your storytelling, writing, communication, and engagement skills to craft compelling narratives that resonate emotionally and logically with the client, highlighting the unique value of Enterprise Talent Solutions. Your data and digital fluency will be crucial in turning customer and market data into commercial insight, demonstrating measurable impact and quantifiable value. Utilizing methodologies like the Challenger Sale, you will build persuasive proposal content that convinces clients of the benefits of change. Critical to this role is maintaining an understanding of market and talent trends and applying this learning to evolving customer talent models, bringing all of Randstad’s services and solutions into compelling content, including local flavor, language, and legal nuances specific to the Americas.

You will be involved at the start of qualified pursuits from kick-off to conclusion, collaborating with sales and account teams on client messaging, including value proposition storyboards, pitch presentations, workshops, creative proposals, and input into negotiations.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Team: Mentoring and development of regional bid team members.
  • Content: Reflected in consistently increased scores and improved feedback from clients for regional proposals.
  • Understanding: Incorporation of content from SIA, Everest, Talent Trends research, localized appropriately for the Americas.
  • Process: Implementing global bid processes and standards within the region and ensuring appropriate steps in the bid process are followed, including content updates in Google format and leveraging usage of AI.
  • Bid Success: Contribution to winning key regional pursuits (and global pursuits led from the Americas region)
  • Shared learning: Contribution to the wider CoE knowledge management strategy.

Key Stakeholders

  • Center of Excellence leadership and colleagues (including solutions / pricing).
  • Enterprise functional and delivery leadership but notably Regional Sales Leaders, Growth Office enabling functions e.g. Service Design and Risesmart leaders.
  • Clients within the Americas region (including global deals led from the Americas region).
  • Sales & Account Management from Randstad Enterprise Group and Randstad Sourceright (Americas).
  • Other functional areas within Randstad and operating company stakeholders (e.g., Key Account Executives).

 

As the Global Bid Lead - Americas, you will act as a ‘player-coach’ and be responsible for:

Regional Strategy & Oversight:

  • Managing the regional bid pipeline, assigning resources, and ensuring adherence to global bid processes and quality standards.
  • Providing oversight of regional bid pipeline and resource allocation.
  • Managing and developing a team of Regional Bid Managers/Coordinators, providing coaching and mentorship.
  • Facilitating timely regional reviews and sign-offs for proposals.

Internal “Client Voice” Champion:

  • Actively coaching and empowering the team to constructively challenge regional sales, solution, and pricing teams effectively, navigating internal disagreements and challenging entrenched ideas or suboptimal solutions. This requires resilience and a fact-based approach.

Bid Management & Quality Assurance:

  • Hands-on bid management for key regional pursuits, specializing in complex client talent challenges.
  • Ensuring regional proposals meet global quality and consistency standards, while owning local flavor, language, and legal nuances.
  • Conducting regional-level reviews and ensuring final proposals are compelling, compliant, and tailored to regional client needs.
  • Crafting compelling narratives that resonate emotionally and logically with the client, highlighting the unique value of Randstad Enterprise.
  • Localizing global content and messaging where appropriate.
  • Writing customized proposal and presentation content that clearly and persuasively connects the client's challenge to a value proposition, with benefits geared toward readers’ needs (showing empathy to their needs).

Stakeholder Engagement & Escalation:

  • Building strong relationships with regional sales VPs, solution architects, and pricing leads, acting as the primary liaison between regional sales/solution/pricing teams and the global bid CoE.
  • Resolving internal conflicts and escalating strategic issues to the Global Head of Bid & Proposal Excellence.
  • Interfaces with Sales & Delivery in the Americas region.

Content & Process Excellence:

  • Working with sales leads and senior proposal specialists to storyboard techniques to articulate as content throughout the bid process (from RFP to negotiation).
  • Leading and guiding pursuit team stakeholders throughout the process through various meeting formats.
  • Planning and leading bid excellence workshops, mentoring team members with a view to continually evolving and tailoring content in line with stated value propositions for each pursuit.
  • Working in a team of specialists who will consult with each other to share insights across clients and industries to create a scalable and repeatable process.
  • Attending client win / loss review sessions to identify further areas of opportunity and alignment with value proposition messaging.
  • Using Salesforce to understand and engage sales/account managers about their client stakeholders to translate their needs into deliverables using the right messaging and data to drive differentiated commercial insights.
  • Working with existing account team leads to protect existing business (and identifying areas for expansion) through proactively creating content that demonstrates continued value add.
  • Connecting with subject matter experts from the business to revise and update content, setting a regular cadence for review.
  • Aligning with marketing to capture case study outputs in a consistent way, working with proposal specialists to maintain a library of updated content.
  • Analyzing winning pitch themes that have created a differentiated sales experience and brings forward best practices based on industry trends, innovations, and talent models.
  • Facilitating and attending post-tender debriefs (both external and internal) and ensuring that feedback is captured to drive the continued enhancement of bid content.
  • Working with presentation designers to turn content and pitch presentations into strong and engaging visual design.
  • Identifying key trends and best practices in customer value propositions to evolve Randstad’s overall talent models and solutions, including innovative ways to present client materials.
  • Driving bid excellence across global teams (with a focus on RPO / MSP / SOW / outplacement and coaching services) and connecting into local proposal teams to share expertise.

education

  • University/Post Graduate or equivalent professional & intellectual experience.

The base salary range for this position is $126,400 - 169,600
